Tokyodachi Mascot Mania is back for another year, and this time around the University of Hawaii-Manoa and the University of Hawaii-Hilo are both in the competition!
The 256-team, single-elimination tournament started on Tuesday. In the first round, UH-Manoa is up against Southern Oregon, while Hilo is squaring off against Normandale Community College (Minnesota). Round 1 ends on Sunday for the UH-Southern Oregon matchup, while the Hilo-NCC matchup ends on Monday.
The winners of each round are determined via fan voting.
Last year, UH-Manoa advanced to the quarterfinal round before being eliminated by (ugh!) Fresno State. This is the first time that UH-Hilo is part of the tournament.
Rainbow Warrior, Rainbow Wahine and Vulcan fans, now’s the time to support your teams. Go out and rock the vote!
