Despite a career-high 31 points by guard Noel Coleman, the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team fell to Vanderbilt, 68-54, last night in the opening round of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic. The Rainbow Warriors’ struggled in the first half, committing 14 turnovers, before mounting a spirited comeback effort in the second stanza. The Commodores’ Scotty Pippen Jr., son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, led the victors with 21 points.
