The Kahuku Red Raiders take down the four-time defending champions, the Saint Louis Crusaders and win the State Championship for the first time since 2015. The Red Raiders were relentless on offense, putting up 21 unanswered points in the first quarter and adding another 7 points in the second quarter. Kahuku’s stout defense held the Crusaders scoreless in Q1 but the Crusaders gained some momentum just before halftime with with 14 unanswered points of their own.
However, any momentum generated by Saint Louis just before the half was quickly stolen back by the 61 yard touchdown by Kahuku just about a minute into the Q3. The Crusaders were held scoreless while Kahuku added 14 more points before running out the clock.
