Moanalua exploded with two five-run innings and capitalized on three Roosevelt errors to beat the Rough Riders, 13-1. The Nā Menehune’s Dakota Pagente earned the win for his team; he allowed just three hits in three solid innings of pitching. The standouts for Moanalua were Kaiden Sonoda-Fukumoto who went 3-for-4 at the plate and Connor Dempsey who blasted his first home run of the season.
For Roosevelt, Xavier Pressley went two-for-two and scored the lone run of the game. Roosevelt drops to 2-4 on the year while Moanalua improves to 3-3. Both teams will start their second half of the season by going back to play their first opponents that they faced this year; Roosevelt will take on Kalani while Moanalua will play Kailua.
