In the HHSAA 2023 Softball State Championship Quarterfinals, The Wai’anae Seariders dominated the Baldwin Bears with a decisive 15-2 victory. Wai’anae came close in the 5th inning in achieving a 10-run mercy rule but the Bears were able to prolong the game with solid defense.
Wai’anae had outperformed Baldwin defensively and offensively with a total of 16 hits compared to an allowed 3 from Baldwin. Jerzie Liana, Kehaulani Tambaoan-Kaeo, and Braiesey Rosa each had their own home-run.
Wai’anae will advance to the HHSAA 2023 Softball Championship Semi-Finals to face the winner of the KS-Kapālama and Mililani game tomorrow at 7 p.m. HT in the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
