Born and raised on the Big Island, Kamaluhia Garcia grew up competing in rodeo competitions until an unfortunate accident led her to volleyball. Following in her mom’s footsteps, Malu strived to improve every day and fell in love with the sport.

With hopes of playing collegiate volleyball and beyond, Malu and her family decided to move to Oahu to gain more exposure and play against some of the best in the state. Volleyball may not have been her first sport, but now, Malu can’t imagine her life without it.
