Punahou class of 2025 linebacker Ko’o Kia visited Notre Dame and decided to commit to the Fighting Irish which he announced on Monday via social media. Kia, a highly-ranked prospect, received offers from Texas, Oregon, California, Hawaii, Nebraska, Utah, and USC. He comes from the same high school as Notre Dame legendary linebacker Manti Te’o. His older brother, Kahanu Kia, returned to Notre Dame after a two-year mission trip. Their father, Nate Kia, is Ko’o’s head coach at Punahou. With Kia’s commitment, Notre Dame now has 14 commitments in the 2025 class, and he is the second linebacker in the class.
