University Laboratory School secured their first-ever New City Nissan/HHSAA Division II Boys Volleyball Championship by defeating Le Jardin Academy in five intense sets. Led by Koa Laboy with 40 kills and Micah Nakasato with 26, ULS emerged victorious with set scores of 25-22, 25-27, 27-25, 25-27, and 15-12. Despite losing in the previous year’s final, ULS returned stronger, finishing the season unbeaten at 14-0 overall. The Bulldogs, though defeated, made history by reaching their first-ever championship game.
Laboy’s exceptional performance earned him recognition as the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. In a tight final set, Nakasato’s crucial kills sealed the victory for ULS.
