The Kamehameha-Hawaii Warriors clinched the 2024 Wally Yonamine Foundation/HHSAA Division II Baseball State Championship by defeating the two-time defending champions, Damien, 12-1. In a dominant performance at Moanalua’s field, the Warriors scored nine runs in the first inning and maintained control throughout the game, ending it in five innings.
This victory capped a stellar 16-1 season, earning the Warriors their first state title in eight years. Shiloh Santos, the winning pitcher, contributed with a strong performance both on the mound and at the plate, going 2-for-4 and driving in two runs. Shortstop Kaohu Kawelu also excelled, with two hits, two RBIs, and two runs.
