Despite a tough 30-7 loss, Punahou found some silver linings in their game against Sierra Canyon. Facing a dominant defense led by top recruit Richard Welsey and USC-bound Madden Riordan, Punahou struggled with turnovers but saw a standout performance from sophomore wide receiver Zion White, who recorded six receptions for 75 yards and a late touchdown.
Defensively, seniors Koo Kia and Donte Utu helped Punahou stay competitive, limiting Sierra Canyon to just two field goals in the second half.
Punahou will aim to bounce back in their next matchup against Campbell on Saturday, August 24th at 3pm.
