‘Aiea Captures First OIA DII Title Since 2008 with Win Over Kaiser

Aiea won its third OIA DII title—and first since 2008—with a 54-43 victory over Kaiser. Noah Park scored 17 points, while Shealand Kazama posted 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Na Alii led early, but Kaiser’s 8-0 run before halftime cut the gap to 21-17. Aiea took control in the third, outscoring the Cougars 21-10. Kazama shot 7-for-10, scoring eight in the frame.

Aiea dominated the boards, with 15 offensive rebounds. Santi Sarbeland grabbed 10 boards, and Kim Choy Keb Ah Lo added 10 points and six steals. Taylor Moku’s defense helped slow Kaiser’s offense.

The win avenged last year’s loss and secured Aiea’s HHSAA State berth.
