Nevada third baseman Sean Yamaguchi, a Saint Louis School graduate, has been named the Mountain West Player and Freshman of the Week after a dominant performance in the Wolf Pack’s series sweep over Washington State.
Yamaguchi was unstoppable at the plate, batting .571 across two starts while racking up four hits, including two home runs, five RBIs, and three runs scored. His power surge resulted in an impressive 1.429 slugging percentage, helping lead Nevada’s offense to a commanding weekend performance.
