The Wahine defeated UC Santa Barbara in their Big West Championship Showdown in Henderson, Nevada. It was a comeback to be remembered as the Wahine were down 15 points at the half. In the mid-third quarter, the Wahine began rallying and were sharpening on the sides of the ball, offensive and defensively. They eventually cut down the lead to just 6 points with a little over six minutes left in the game. It came down to the final two minutes and it was a back-and-forth lead change throughout the remaining regulation.
Down 1 point with 6.4 seconds left in the game, Daejah Philips scored a crucial score along with a foul to push the Wahine ahead 1 point with 3 seconds left in the game. UC Santa Barbara would end up missing a 3-point attempt to win the game and the Wahine repeats as Big West Champions.
