The Chargers earned their first win of the season in the OIA D1 Championship Playoff opener against Moanalua (9-3), 7-5.
The bats were hot as Pearl City earned 13 hits throughout the game including a home run from Saunette Oshiro in the last inning.
Moanalua fought for a comeback getting 4 runs within the 6th inning bringing the Pearl City lead to just 1 going into the 7th inning. However, the Chargers would ultimately be able to close them out defensively winning the game.
Pearl City will play Waianae in the OIA D1 Semifinals on Thursday at 3 pm.
