On this date in 2016, the 6th ranked ‘Bows entered the final day of the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational 0-2 and at intermission of the 3rd match saw themselves down 0-2 against Arizona. Without All-American starters Nikki Taylor and Annie Mitchem, the ‘Bows were sparked by the keiki…Sophomore hitter McKenna Granato had a career high 33 kills, Sophomore middle Casey Castillo had 2 blocks and 6 kills, including the match winner, Freshman McKenna Ross had 7 kills over the final three sets. Freshman setter Norene Iosia had 57 assists, 3 aces and 9 digs. Emily Maglio added 12 kills to hit .423 and All-Tournament team libero Savanah Kahakai recorded her third straight match of recording 20 or more digs. Down 7-2 in the 5th set, UH would come from behind to win the set 15-13 and complete the reverse sweep.
