Castle secured a thrilling 20-14 overtime victory over Kalaheo in front of an enthusiastic home crowd, with Kauanahe Kalahiki-Gohier’s 129 rushing yards and two touchdowns leading the charge. The Knights (7-3, 6-1 league) tied for first in the OIA Division II standings as they closed the regular season.
Trailing 14-7 in the second half, Castle’s defense made a crucial goal-line stop, setting up an 83-yard drive, capped by a touchdown to tie the game. In overtime, Castle’s defense held Kalaheo scoreless after a missed field goal, and Kalahiki-Gohier clinched the win with a decisive 1-yard touchdown run.
Castle’s offense dominated the ground game, with 350 total yards, and a stout defense forced a key turnover on downs late in the game. Despite Kalaheo’s efforts, led by Kamalu Jordan’s 103 rushing yards, the Mustangs missed out on a playoff spot, though they could still qualify with Kalani’s win over Kaimuki.
