The highly anticipated return of Hawaii high school football is back. To kick off the brand new 2022 prep football season, ESPN Honolulu in collaboration with Spectrum Sports highlights a few of the many game changers that might not appear in the box score. The season long documentary series, “The Difference Maker”, tells the stories of those who impact the game, on and off the football field.
The first video in our series highlights Radford High School’s Assistant Coach Lon Passos, who has been making a difference in the lives of Hawaii’s youth for many years. A coach for the Rams for over 20 years, Passos also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director at Radford, making a difference on the field and in classroom for all his student-athletes. We had an opportunity to spend some time with Coach Passos, and here is a little bit of what we learned.
